The Turkish steel industry has been able to increase the volume and value of its exports in the first nine months of the year 2017, according to an official of the Turkish Steel Exporters Association (ÇIB) on Wednesday
Turkey's exports totaled 13.10 million tons of steel products from January January to September September, registering an increase of 7 percent on an annual basis, the official said.
At the same level, the total value of these exports recorded a rise of 23.40 per cent on an annual basis to $8.20 billion.
Turkish steel exporters said Turkey had the first place in the world by registering the highest increase in iron and steel production during the last six months of this year.
On the other hand, Singapore, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong and Canada have topped the most importing steel countries from Turkey.
In the first months of this year, Turkey exported steel to Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada, along with hot-rolled rolls to Italy and Spain.
