The European Union (EU) has decided to levy import tariffs on hot steel from Iran, Russia, Brazil and Ukraine, following a complaint lodged by manufacturers in the Federation of that Steel used in the construction and equipment industry are sold at an exaggerated price.
According to the Official Gazette of the European Union (EU), the Federation will impose dumping fees ranging from 17.6 to 96.5 euros (20.6-112.8 dollars) per tonne starting on Saturday.

The European Commission initially proposed a minimum price, at 472.27 euros per tonne, to avoid fees but modified its proposal after it failed to obtain the support of EU Member States.
