According to preliminary data released by the International Steel Federation, World production (66 countries) of crude steel during last October reached 145.3 million tons 5.9% more than the same month's production from 2016, with a production efficiency of 73.0% of the available capacity, up 3.0% more than the production efficiency of October 2016 and Bits See 0.6% for September 2017.
China's production of the world's largest steel producer last October reached 72.4 million tons, up 6.1 percent from the same month's production in 2016 and in Japan's second largest steel producer 9.0 million tons, down-1.0 percent from last year's production of the same month, then India, producing 8.6 million tons 5.3% more than the October 2016 production.
